John Woods

John decided to go self employed and started John Woods Motorcare after 19 years as an apprentice then fully qualified Mechanical Technician.

Johns passion is classic cars and his business ideals are based on one to one friendly advice, providing a service that is reliable together with competitive prices. He constantly aims to improve choice and standards as well as customer confidence.

25 years after going Self Employed the business outgrew it’s premises in Chester along with the workshop and admin team expanding. John changed the company to John Woods Motorcare Ltd and relocated to larger premises in Mold.

John is one of the Directors of John Woods Motorcare Ltd.

Adam Woods

Like his Dad (John Woods), Adam is a total petrol head. Many weekends and school holidays were spent assisting John in the workshop, learning about mechanics on Classic Cars.

Adam followed in Johns footsteps and completed his education at a local college before joining John Woods Motorcare full time and helping to build the business into what it is today.

Adam loves motorsport and can often be found at Oulton Park with his young son (also a petrol head!)

Jamie

Jamie joined us at the beginning of September 2018 on an apprenticeship through Coleg Cambria. He works alongside John on the Classic Cars and attends Coleg Cambria once a week for classroom based learning. Jamie and his Grandparents Val & Mick have been family friends of John Woods for a long time.

Being brought up in Wales, Jamie is also our resident Welsh Language speaker.

Tony

Tony is a time served Mechanic who went to school/college with John Woods. He served his appreticeship with Blacon Motors (SAAB) before travelling the world with various World Rally Teams.Tony has worked out of John Woods Motorcare for a number of years now.

Tom

Tom is a good friend of John Woods and comes in 2 days a week to assist with the engineering side of the Classic Car workshop rebuilds

Stuart

Stuart assists us by parts deliveries, customer vehicle collections and trailer recovery. When he’s not out and about doing those roles he can be found in the workshop assisting the technicians.

Percy & Lizzie

Percy and Lizzie joined us last year after Johns previous dogs passed away.

Percy is a Cocker Spaniel and Lizzie is a Chihuahua.
