Caroline ( a new customer via Cheshire Dragons 2CVGB North Wales & Cheshire ) dropped in with Betty Blue last week. Betty Blue is a 1985 Citroen 2CV6
Caroline wanted to have her checked over mechanically prior to driving Betty Blue over 1250 miles to the 23rd 2CV World Meeting 2019 hosted by Croatian 2cv Citroen Club (and driving back again 2 weeks later!). Caroline has attended most of these World Meetings since taking ownership of Betty Blue.
After a thorough mechanical inspection we recommended that a couple of parts be replaced. The first was the exhaust tail pipe section – a small hole was blowing on the pipe. One of the wheel bearings was noisy and both rear tyres were close to the legal limit. We sourced the majority of the replacement parts (Caroline sourced the new Michelin tyres). We then fitted all of the parts along with the wheels with the new tyres.
Caroline drove Betty Blue home and later messaged us to say that she was “Driving like a Dream”.
We would like to wish Caroline and Betty Blue all the best with their trip over to Croatia and we look forward to hearing all about it on their return.
