MG Midget Rewiring with help from Framebook UK A3 Magnetic Wiring Diagrams

As part  of an ongoing rebuild we have in progress for a customer (future blog to be posted once vehicle is complete) we have recently started to tackle rewiring a new dashboard and centre console into the car.

This MG Midget was originally left hand drive and was imported from California a few years ago. Our customer stripped the car down and had it resprayed before starting to rebuild the car with a right hand drive conversion in place. Due to ill health we have taken on the job of completing the car.

Whilst researching wiring diagrams for a previous rebuild we completed for a customer (1980 Mini Pickup) we came across a company called Framebook (UK) Ltd who are a family run business that produce full colour wiring diagrams for all ranges of classic cars on an A3 size Magnetic Paper which is ideal for workshop use as they are also very easy to wipe clean.

We decided to approach Tony at Framebook (UK) Ltd to see if they had the correct diagram for this car and he came up trumps with a full colour diagram for us which was purchased and delivered within 24 hours for less than £20.00 – we’ve put a photo of the diagram below with a 2p against it to give an idea of size.

The diagram has been a great help, saved a lot of time with it being in full colour, it is simple and straight forward to follow. The Magnetic aspect of the Wiring Diagram means that it can be placed in various positions around the car to make it easily viewable.

We highly  recommend Framebook (UK) Ltd to anyone that is looking to sort out the electrics on their Classic Car.

They currently list over 20 Marques of Classic car with 440+ Full Colour A3 Wiring Diagrams available.Marques
